Every year, The US imports billions of garments from all over the world. Nearly 20% of textiles imported to the US come from 6 countries [Cambodia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Guatemala and Honduras] which account for more than 120,000,000 humans without proper access to clean water. GoodWood Hockey works diligently to source our garments from the United States whenever possible, however, due to limited styles manufactured in the US, importing in inevitable. While GoodWood Hockey always strives to use WARP certified, ethical importers, we want to do more.
Each quarter, GWH will feature a specific design that will benefit charity: water. A portion of the proceeds from each sale will go directly to benefit those across the world in need of clean water. charity: water is passionate about solving the water crisis and uses 100% of all public donations to fund water projects. They work with local experts and community members to find the best sustainable solution in each place where they work, whether it’s a well, a piped system, a BioSand Filter, or a system for harvesting rainwater. And with every project that is funded, partners coordinate sanitation and hygiene training, and establish a local Water Committee to help keep water flowing for years to come.
This season’s shirt is Live.Love.Hockey. A donation will be made to charity: water for each shirt purchased in ladies or girls styles. Please help us to give back to so many that provide us with the clothing that we are blessed to wear each day.
GWH: Hockey for Good.
